What is sisal plant culture method introduction
1. Introduction of sisal
Introduce: Sisal is a kind of perennial tropical plant, because the leaf shape of sisal resembles pineapple leaf, so somebody also calls sisal pineapple hemp. Sisal is a kind of hard fiber, it is also a kind of hard fiber with large dosage and wide production range in the world today. There are many kinds of sisal processed products, such as sisal fiber, sisal carpet and sisal wallpaper. Its ornamental value is mainly greening the environment for people to enjoy.
Origin: Sisal is a tropical plant, so there are high requirements for the growth environment. Generally speaking, it can only be grown in the tropics or in sub-tropical areas that are not close to the tropics. It is native to the Longgadan Peninsula in Mexico, and is mostly distributed between latitude 30 degrees South and 30 degrees north. It is widely cultivated in the Americas, Africa, Asia, the Pacific and other tropical and sub-tropical regions. Sisal hemp cultivation in China is mainly in Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian and other regions, there are also a small amount of cultivation in Yunnan and Zhejiang and other regions.
Role: In the construction of large hydropower stations in various regions of the country, the use of protective nets, rain cloth, fishing nets, woven sacks are made of sisal fiber. The flowers and juices from the stems of sisal hemp can be brewed into wine and made into various sugar foods.
2. Cultivation methods of sisal
Environment: Sisal plants like to grow in the high slope environment with high temperature and humidity. The rainfall distribution should be very uniform, especially in the climate that needs light, dry and high temperature in the daytime, and the environment with fog and dew is very good at night.
Soil: Sisal has a very strong ability to adapt to the environment. It is relatively barren and drought tolerant, but it is afraid of waterlogging. It has a very strong growth ability and a wide range of adaptability. It is suitable for cultivation in fertile sandy soil with good drainage, loose, low water table, and not suitable for cultivation in soil that is often wet or poorly drained
Temperature: Suitable for growing in an environment of 27-30 degrees Celsius, high temperature should not exceed 40 degrees Celsius, low temperature should not exceed 16 degrees Celsius, annual average rainfall is 1200-1800mm, the range of temperature difference between day and night should not exceed 7-10 degrees Celsius. Its cold tolerance is very low, often cold will cause physiological leaf spot disease, not conducive to the growth of sisal.
Disease and insect control: control anthracnose, leaf spot, belt blight and other diseases. Specific measures include planting shelter forests and covering crops; Pay attention to field drainage; Cultivating strong seedlings; Pay attention to the proportion of n, P and K, increase potash fertilizer application; Timely weeding; Pathogen removal in winter; Chemical control, etc. Anthrax can be controlled by spraying Bordeaux mixture after heavy rain; The zebra stria disease can be sprayed with dioxone (1:200), coal phenol soap (1:200), ulcer net (1:1100), 3-4 times in a row. The main insect pests are scale insects, weevils, starscream and so on. The rosin mixture can be applied to scale insects. Weevils can be killed with green bait when the adults are just unearthed. Starfish can spray 0.3-0.5 degree Bauxite sulfur mixture, every 5-7 days spray once, even spray 2-3 times.
Harvest: 2-3 years after colonization, the number of leaves is up to 40-50, the length of leaves is more than 1 meter, the Angle between the leaves and the ground is 45°, the color of the leaves becomes lighter, when the white wax powder disappears, it is the appropriate harvest time. When cutting leaves, 25-30 leaves should be left and should be removed at a distance of 2-3 cm from the leaf base. The cut blades shall be timely bundled and shipped to the factory for processing, which shall not exceed 2-3 days.
